Student of your craft
You must be thinking. Wait Kei, didn’t you already graduate college and you’re a gym owner now? So why are you studying? Here’s the thing about learning; it doesn’t necessarily have to stop at college. However, as professionals we can always do MORE. As a gym owner, I can ALWAYS learn how to manage better or create more effective workout programs or market better. For me, being complacent is something to AVOID. I always want to be better. Better manager, person, gym owner, friend, man, son, personal trainer, the list goes on. But the truth of the matter is, I want to be a better student. In what, you might ask? LIFE. I know, deep stuff, huh? But really, there’s so much out there to learn and I want to be able to take in as much as I can.
Being self-employed for the past 2 years has taught me a lot about the necessary work involved in having a business. There’s a reason why 50% of small businesses fail during the first 5 years. Now before I bore you with the details and get depressed (don’t worry, I’m not hah), let’s just say we’re going against the odds. But, this is what I believe in and am willing to work hard towards. For this reason, I am willing to learn what ever it takes to keep the business going. Above all, constantly thinking of ways to make sure the business stays afloat and running smoothly. There can always be something you can improve on and it’s really up to YOU that can create this list and tackle them. My mind is constantly thinking and, therefore, I will forever be a student to life……………………………………Hope you liked this week’s blog, stay tuned for more next week…………………Kei
