This is what I tell my clients all the time if they want results. Generally, you see your personal trainer for an hour. Multiply that by the number of times you go see him/her. That total number isn’t much compared to the amount that you are outside of the gym. So what are you doing with the remaining time?
24 hours – Sleep (8) – Work (8) = 8 hours left.
We all have busy schedules. Work, eat, sleep, running errands, kids stuff (for those that are parents), the list goes on with the amount of stuff we do every day. If you breakdown your day in terms of a math equation, here’s what it looks like; 24 hours – sleep (8) – work (8) = 8 hours left. Now, some of these numbers may vary based on how long you sleep or work, but let’s say you have 8 hours left in the day. That’s a lot!
Don’t just rely on that one hour you exercise.
So you exercised. You feel good. Arms and legs are sore. You feel like you deserve those delicious cookies. However, you go back to the gym the following day and are disappointed that your weight is up. You have to understand is that you have to apply discipline not just inside the gym, but outside. Don’t just rely on that one hour you exercise. You can easily undo a one-hour workout by eating ice cream or pizza. Burning 500 calories is tough, but eating that is simple. So don’t blow it all up in one meal.
