This past weekend I went to go watch “Volta,” a Cirque du Soleil show that is in the Dodgers’ Stadium. Every time I watch these shows, I am fascinated with how incredible and what the human body is capable of. Hanging onto rings with one hand upside down and twirling. Bouncing off trampolines and landing insane jumps. Its endless acts of incredible acts. What makes this possible is the amount of training these athletes go through.
Their bodies are the testament to their hard work. You can see it. These guys and girls have 8-packs, not a 6-pack. You can see all the striations in the shoulders, abdominals, legs, and back. Those don’t develop overnight, but years and years of training. Countless of hours that we don’t see. All we do see is the finished product.
For those that are in LA, they are at Dodgers’ Stadium until March 8th.
At times, we are desensitized to what we see and are not easily impressed. But when you tried some of the things that are remotely close to what these athletes do, you would have a higher appreciation for it. It is amazing what the human body is capable of and I encourage anybody to check out the show. Hope you liked this week’s blog. Stay tuned for more next Wed…………. Kei
