What is HEALTH to you? Find out in this week’s blog.
Keys to identifying HEALTH. The first thing that’ll help you in staying consistent is identifying what “HEALTH” means to you. For example, is it losing a certain amount of weight? Losing 5 inches around the waist? Gaining 10 pounds of muscle? Identify your definition of health and it WILL help you stay consistent. Going back to last week’s blog, your fitness goal doesn’t necessarily have to be what’s on the outside; lowering your cholesterol or blood pressure numbers are also a great goal. Sometimes we lose track of why we started working out, so let’s go back to your “why” and start from there. There was a reason why you wanted to reach that fitness goal. So let’s ask yourself, are you working towards that goal? If not, then let’s get you back on track. It’s never too late to get back on track. Staying consistent with exercising is HARD.
Sometimes you’ll have a stretch of staying consistent and then you hit a wall. You get invited to a birthday party and get surrounded with all sorts of gluttonous food. Or, a company holiday party. This creates a downward spiral and you start making excuses. “I’m too tired to exercise today.” “I’ll workout tomorrow.” Breaking this habit gets harder the longer it goes. And at the end of the day, it’s OKAY.
Not to mention, we all go through the same obstacles, it’s just the matter of how long are you going to allow it to continue. Just understand that YOU have to be the one to change the course of nature. So define what “health” means to you and chances are, this is why you are working out. Find your “key” to health and it’ll open a lot of doors. Hope you liked this week’s blog. Stay tuned for more next week…………………Kei
