Never take health for granted. “Kei, I used to be so athletic and now I have back pain every day.” “I can’t go down on the floor like I used to.” These are things my senior clients tell me. I take their words dear to my heart and as a reminder to take care of my body.

We all get old

The senior clients are twice, sometimes three times, my age and they teach me what their bodies have gone through. How they felt in their 50s, 60s, 70s, and their current state. Their words and experience have more value than people that haven’t gone through it. Overall, we all get old so why not listen to those that are living it?

How to set up for retirement

Those that are coming to train with us, they are financially well off. I am constantly asking them how they were able to set themselves up in the situation they are now. I would want a competent personal trainer taking care of me when I am in my 70s and 80s. Putting me through the latest and safest way of training for my body. The life lessons I get from my senior clients are priceless and things I can pass down to the next generation.

Since I grew up with my grandparents, dealing with seniors have always been a part of me. It has and will always be a joy for me to train baby boomers for that reason.
